Full job description

Job Purpose:
Barony Universal are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about quality assurance and who are flexible and committed to working as part of a team.

This role is responsible for assisting in the sampling and checking of incoming goods, in-process material and finished products.

Duties will involve:

- Sampling and Testing of daily incoming goods and in-process materials to assure product quality.
-Recording and labelling of all sampled goods.
- Checking Certificates of conformity from suppliers.
- Reporting non-conformances where applicable.
- Supporting the general duties of the laboratory.
- Perform routing end of line quality inspections
- Routine calibration checks
- Supporting seal samples
- Release of components and ingredients to Good Stock.
- Ensure all operating areas and equipment are maintained to the required levels of GMP and cleanliness.
- Ensure all health, safety and environmental standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Supporting the Quality System and the continual improvement philosophy
- Take responsibility for personal and team safety with particular focus on PPE and safety systems.
- Contribute to all team processes and strive for continuous improvement in all areas of the operation.
- Supporting other areas of the business when required.

Key Competencies:

  • Previous experience in a quality assurance role is essential
  • Good Level of written and spoken English
  • Ability to work well alone and within a team
  • Possess a strong work ethic accompanied by a flexible approach to tasks
  • Motivated and target driven individual

Pay: £15.11 per hour
