Marketing Assistant

Department: Marketing

Location: 210–222 Hagley Road West, Oldbury, B68 0NP

Salary: £26,500–£28,000 per annum

Role Purpose

As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the marketing department. You’ll work closely with internal teams to help coordinate campaigns, support digital marketing activity, maintain reporting, and assist with wider business marketing initiatives.

This role is about more than just administration — it’s about delivering reliable support, maintaining high standards, and helping the business communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and delivery of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Build and schedule email marketing campaigns using supplied designs and templates.
  • Assist with campaign setup, proofreading, and testing.
  • Conduct research into suppliers, competitors, platforms, and marketing opportunities.
  • Support scheduling and posting of social media content across company platforms.
  • Assist with maintaining content calendars, reporting documents, and campaign trackers.
  • Support Google PPC administration and reporting tasks.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly marketing performance reports.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing department.
  • Maintain organised records, marketing assets, and documentation.
  • Support wider marketing projects and cross-department initiatives as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience within a marketing and/or administrative role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Desirable:

  • Experience building marketing emails or supporting email campaigns
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and content management
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and Google PPC
  • Experience maintaining reporting spreadsheets or campaign trackers

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
