Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant
RomfordFull time Monday to Friday
September start

Are you a Maths graduate looking to gain paid classroom experience before teacher training or a long term career in education?

We are working with a secondary schools in Romford who are looking to appoint a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS3 and KS4.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers considering PGCE Schools Direct or Teach First.

The role

  • Supporting pupils within Maths lessons
  • Delivering one to one and small group numeracy interventions
  • Supporting problem solving reasoning and exam preparation
  • Working closely with class teachers SENCOs and pastoral teams
  • Helping pupils build confidence engagement and progress in Maths

The ideal candidate

  • Degree in Maths Mathematics Engineering Economics or a related subject
  • Strong numeracy and communication skills
  • A genuine interest in education and pupil progress
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
  • Considering a future career in teaching education or SEND
