The Role – Refrigeration Engineer

We’re looking for a fully qualified Refrigeration Engineer to join our mobile team.
You’ll install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems across commercial and light commercial sites, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on, mobile role covering London and the South East perfect for someone who enjoys varied work and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency repairs.
  • Install and commission commercial and light commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Diagnose and fix faults quickly and safely.
  • Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations, health & safety standards, and industry guidelines.
  • Complete job reports and records using mobile technology and the Cafty system.
  • Travel to multiple client sites across the region.

Experience & Skills

  • Fully qualified Refrigeration Engineer with up-to-date certifications.
  • F-Gas Certification.
  • City & Guilds 2079 (Level 2) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (desirable).
  • Proven experience on commercial refrigeration systems (3-year apprenticeship preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
