Mechanical Apprentice

Flotech Performance Systems are a growing provider of specialist products, systems, and services to the Oil & Gas, Chemical and Process Industries based in Chichester, West Sussex. Flotech Performance Systems maintains its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), along with Quality /Safety & Environmental methodologies. Fabrication and assembly of bespoke designed project parts and assemblies, as part of a weld & fabrication team, you will be undertaking on job training (Under enhanced supervision – with assured safety systems in place) that covers bespoke and specific fabrication & manufacturing practices that include use of power equipment and hot work / grinding – you are to assure your own safety at all times, you are not to conduct any activities without supervision from a competent employee.

This Apprenticeship workplace will be combined with attendance at college – conducting an engineering-based course.

More about the role:

  • Read and understand technical design drawing specification – (CAD Training to be provided).
  • Equipment testing2 (Training to be provided).
  • Product mechanical assembly to drawings specification. (Supervised).
  • Safe use of weld & power / hand equipment (To include grinder – Full training and supervised).
  • Adherence / control / completion of fabrication documentation to Flotech Standard3.
  • Correct use of All PPE – You will not undertake confined spaces or RPE Equipment activities.
  • Ability to consistently weld (tack) and fabricate whilst conforming to all hot work safety regulations (Training and supervised).
  • Ability to assemble mechanical systems to Flotech specification (Training and supervision provided).

Qualifications


About you:

  • Driving Licence.
  • Use of various LOLLER Equipment (Cranes / Fork Lift).
  • stablished Safety Behaviours – PPE / Safe working practices.
  • Working both independently and as a team member.
  • Working to exacting deadlines and quality standard.
  • Industry specific knowledge and experience.
