Full job description

Please note: This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity, best suited to individuals looking to gain experience, develop skills, build a portfolio, or contribute to a meaningful creative social enterprise.

Inspire Social Co. is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Executive (Volunteer) to work directly with the Head of Social Media & Operations Director across a wide range of exciting client and internal content projects.

This role offers hands-on experience across real campaigns for businesses and charities, as well as internal content for our wider social enterprise divisions, including Aspire Media Studios, Aspire Media Academy and Aspire Media TV.

Whether you’re starting out, upskilling, or looking to gain practical experience in digital media — we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director on social media content creation for client projects
  • Create graphics, reels, stories and short-form videos using Canva and CapCut
  • Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Use Metricool to help schedule posts and review analytics (full training provided)
  • Support Aspire Media N.I. CIC and Inspire Social Co. with their own social media content
  • Research trending audio, hashtags and content formats
  • Monitor engagement and assist with basic performance reporting
  • Optional attendance at events, content shoots and community projects

Who We’re Looking For

  • A genuine passion for social media, storytelling and digital content
  • Basic writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Canva (or willingness to learn)
  • An interest in learning scheduling and analytics tools such as Metricool
  • A creative, proactive and collaborative mindset
  • Ideally based within 15–20 minutes of Coleraine (remote work is available)
  • You may already have some experience — but full support and training will be provided

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience working on real client projects and campaigns
  • Direct mentorship from senior leadership
  • Practical portfolio content and creative experience
  • A reference for future employment or education
  • The opportunity to use your creativity to support a locally rooted social enterprise
