With on the ground representation in Kenya, Senegal, Mozambique, Zambia, Morocco,Mauritius, Ghana we deliver 8–10 conferences and exhibitions per year across mining, energy, oil & gas, finance, and infrastructure sectors.

We are seeking motivated, driven, and passionate professionals to join our team as Conference Producer. You will play a key role in developing, managing, and expanding our portfolio of high-level conferences—working in a multicultural, hybrid, and fully remote environment.

We’re hiring an experienced Conference Producer to take full ownership of research, agenda development and speaker management across the annual shows while collaborating with both marketing and sales team

What you’ll do

  • Own the research: Map sectors, sub-sectors and stakeholders; identify the hottest projects, policy shifts and investment signals; validate market demand through targeted calls.
  • Develop agendas that cut through: Translate research into a sharp, commercially relevant programme with defined value propositions; craft session titles, formats and talk briefs.
  • Source & secure speakers: Build balanced, high-calibre faculty (industry, government, finance, technology, off-takers); write compelling invites; negotiate and confirm participation.
  • Run speaker calls: Lead structured pre-event calls to align objectives, refine content, and orchestrate narrative flow across panels and presentations.
  • Speaker management & communications: Own comms from confirmation to showtime—bios, assets, briefing packs, session run-of-show, tech checks and on-the-day support.
  • Partnership marketing: Shape and deliver contra-agreements with associations and media; co-create content, newsletters and social posts that drive qualified delegates.
  • Social media collaboration: Package speaker quotes, session clips and data points into snackable content; schedule posts; track performance and optimise.
  • Data & performance: Maintain clean pipelines and tracking; report on research calls, speaker confirmations, partner reach, registrations and show rates.
  • Onsite production (as needed): Speaker timekeeping, stage flow and stakeholder care to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience.

Post-Event Analysis & Reporting

o Collect feedback from speakers.

o Provide a feedback on the overall program

o Prepare Thank you letters

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a conference producer, content writer
  • Fluent English (native or near-native); Portuguese or French an advantage
  • Strong interest in Africa’s economic and commercial landscape
  • Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure
  • Willingness to travel internationally for onsite event and speaker management
