We are seeking a highly motivated Solicitor with expertise in Clinical Negligence to join our Healthcare Team to represent Defendants, primarily acting for NHS Resolution.


The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of Clinical Negligence NHSR cases, as well as supporting on group litigation cases, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients.


This is a hybrid role with office attendance required that can be flexible. We are open to considering candidates that are based in the vicinity of following office locations - Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Southampton or London.


Candidates from a Claimant background will be considered for this role

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of high value Defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution.
  • Provide expert legal advice on clinical negligence claims, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating case documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for Business Development with NHS Resolution and Trust clients.
  • Assist with Trust client care matters as required.

  • 1+ years PQE in NHS Resolution Clinical Negligence cases is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in handling complex Defendant clinical negligence cases.
  • Previous experience in Group Litigation cases is preferrable.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
