Job Title: Motorcycle Assembly Operator
Location: Solihull, B90
Company: Autoscan UK Ltd
Pay Rate: £14.69 PAYE

Shifts: Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 3.30pm, Friday 7.00am to 12.30pm

The Role

As a Motorcycle Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assembling motorcycles and sub-assemblies to exact specifications while ensuring exceptional levels of craftsmanship, quality, and safety. Working within a skilled manufacturing team, you will contribute to the production of world-class motorcycles that reflect the heritage and performance expectations of our customers prestige brand.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS criminal record check.


Requirements


Precision Assembly & Quality Control

  • Build & Assemble: Fit motorcycle components (engines, chassis, electrical systems) to exact specifications using hand/power tools and specialised machinery.
  • Inspect & Test: Perform in-process visual checks, torque verification, fluid levels, and functional testing to maintain premium brand standards.
  • Problem Solve: Identify, escalate, and help resolve any build defects or mechanical issues with the quality and engineering teams.

Production Flow & Efficiency

  • Meet Targets: Maintain cycle times and production targets to ensure smooth, timely handovers to the next build stage.
  • Flexibility: Work collaboratively in a skilled team, rotating across workstations and assisting with line balancing as required.
  • Schedule Support: Work overtime as reasonably requested to ensure production plans are achieved.

Safety, Maintenance & 5S

  • HSE Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, wear designated PPE, and participate in toolbox talks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Workplace Standards: Perform minor tool maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and visually compliant work area (5S standards).

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, automotive manufacturing, motorcycle production, or a similar engineering environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret assembly instructions and technical documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment confidently
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively within a team-focused environment
