About us:

Bourn Surgery is a small, rural, traditional, dispensing general practice in the beautiful village of Bourn 10 miles from Cambridge. We pride ourselves on our strong team-working, continuity of care and high standards of clinical care. Our Reception team are the public face of our Surgery, and we are proud that our team is renowned for their friendly, compassionate ethos, while providing an efficient and effective service.

We are looking for a friendly, efficient, proactive person who has good IT skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and who will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team. This is a part-time role of 16 hours.

We will focus primarily on finding the right fit for our team and therefore would like to encourage applicants with varying levels of experience and qualifications to apply. Experience working in primary care is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given. If you are interested, please get in touch to come and meet us for an informal visit.

Role Overview:

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients as required.

To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers

Ability to commute/relocate:
