Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure punctuality
  • Load and unload goods safely, using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and updates
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards during daily operations
  • Assist with warehouse duties when required, including stock organisation and inventory checks

Experience

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with delivery driver experience in logistics or courier services
  • Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
  • Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor maintenance tasks
  • Experience operating flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment is desirable
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
  • Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
