Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on vehicles and equipment
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle, repair, and assemble mechanical components
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with practical experience in vehicle maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to diagnose mechanical faults accurately and implement appropriate solutions
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields
