Full job description

Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver for our client who is a well-known delivery company in Newbridge (Edinburgh). The ideal candidate possess a full UK driving licence and have a professional attitude toward customer service. The job usually starts at 7.30am and there is 30-40 drops per day. The usual finish time is 4pm.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial van in compliance with all road safety regulations.
  • Deliver goods to various locations around Edinburgh and in Edinburgh promptly and professionally, ensuring accurate order fulfilment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items, often involving heavy lifting, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules or issues.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of goods and use of personal protective equipment.
