Delivery & Stock Driver – Alandas Group
Location: Primarily East Lothian, with weekly deliveries to Edinburgh
Alanda’s is a family-run business with a number of well-established food outlets across East Lothian and Edinburgh. We're currently looking for a reliable, hands-on Delivery & Stock Driver to join our growing team.
About the Role
This is a varied, fast-paced position that goes beyond just delivery driving. You’ll be a key part of our daily operations, helping to ensure that all our locations are well stocked, organised, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver stock to multiple Alandas locations
- Manage a small team of drivers
- Create staff rotas and keep up with relevant paperwork
- Safely and efficiently drive a van (up to 5 tonnes)
- Set up and organise stock for our seafood grill kiosk that sits at longniddry beachfront
- Manage and update stock control spreadsheets (Excel)
- Organise and collect supplier deliveries (including Booker and Costco)
- Unload and sort stock in our mini-warehouse
- Maintain accurate stock levels across all locations including our warehouse and factory
- Contribute ideas and improvements as the company continues to grow
Requirements
- A valid UK driver’s licence and access to your own car
- Confident driving a van up to 5 tonnes
- Flexibility with hours with the ability to take on more hours over our summer season
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Experience using Excel or a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Minimum age: 25 (due to van insurance requirements)
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to be part of a small, family-run team
