Warehouse Operative – Full Time (40 Hours) – Manchester

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Manchester (On-site)

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Warehouse Operative to join our team in Manchester. This role involves general warehouse duties including receiving stock, labelling, picking & packing, shelving, and preparing orders for dispatch. Full training is provided.

Responsibilities

Receiving & Organising Stock

  • Unload deliveries
  • Check quantities against purchase orders
  • Record shortages or damaged goods
  • Move stock to the correct storage areas

Labelling, Scanning & Shelving

  • Apply product labels/barcodes
  • Scan items into the Shopify/inventory system
  • Place stock onto shelves, racks, or bins in the correct locations
  • Maintain tidy and organised storage areas

Quality Control

  • Inspect items for defects, stains, or incorrect sizes
  • Follow QC standards
  • Separate and record faulty stock

Picking & Packing

  • Pick customer orders accurately
  • Pack items to company standards
  • Prepare orders for dispatch
  • Print shipping labels and process orders in Shopify

Loading & Unloading

  • Assist with van/lorry loading
  • Lift and move boxes safely
  • Use trolleys or pallet equipment if required

General Warehouse Work

  • Keep the warehouse clean and organised
  • Stock rotation (ensuring older stock is used first)
  • Counting and auditing inventory
  • Assisting with stocktakes
  • Supporting other team members when needed

Requirements

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to lift boxes (10–20kg)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work at a steady pace
  • Warehouse experience preferred but not required
  • Basic English skills
  • Able to work 35 hours per week in Manchester
