Current Opportunities

Staff Nurse RGN

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our new bespoke Care Centre for Staff Nurse position's specifically for RGN Adult Nurses. Our new Care Centre opened in May 2025 and provides 24hour nursing care for clients with Physical Disability needs. We provide our clients with the maximum support required in a homely atmosphere designed for the needs of disabled clients. Our clients require support on a daily ongoing basis to enhance their lives and maximise independence with professional nursing support. The Care Centre currently has use of 20 beds which are physical disability specific with some independent apartments included and use of our on site activity centre as well as access to local community resources. This is a full-time position 37.5hrs per week and is rotational days/nights including weekends. Experience is desirable, but not essential, it is preferable if the successful candidates have previous care home experience in the area of Physical Disability.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Be responsible for the delivery of care within the assigned clinical area and promote continual quality improvement and implementation of evidence-based practice.

Assess skill mix and team structures and implement changes in working practices accordingly, ensuring that care processes and systems support the delivery of high quality patient care.

Ensure that the management of medicines is in accordance with the homes policy and the requirements of the Department of Health and Social Services and RQIA. Ensure all patients have an up to date risk assessment, needs assessment and plan of care which is regularly reviewed.

Ensure all necessary records are maintained in accordance with the legislation and professional standards for record keeping. Provide leadership, guidance and support to all grades of staff. A fully supervised and supported induction is given to all new staff to the team.

Skills and Qualifications

To be a Registered General Nurse on the live NMC Register

Ability to manage a team and lead and motivate staff

Excellent level of English language demonstrated through effective communication skills both verbal and written

Strong clinical knowledge and excellent understanding of brain injury & physical disability conditions

Demonstrable knowledge of the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority, the Nursing Homes Legislation and Minimum Standards.

Planning and organisation skills.

Competent interpersonal skills.

Able to manage difficult situations effectively.

Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Ability to implement effective time management for self and others.

Our Staff are provided with training on additional areas of care which includes physical disability conditions and brain injury training by our in house Practise Facilitators. There is ongoing educational development for staff to ensure that our care practices are of the highest standard.
