We are a modern chain of dental practices in and around London, delivering world-class dentistry. Due to successful growth, we now have an opportunity for a treatment coordinator to join our team. We are looking for this individual to work across our Blackfriars and Lewisham practices in a dual site role.

Candidates will ideally be qualified dental nurses and hold professional registration. They will be required to work full-time, including some weekends and evenings. We'd like you to be patient-focused, provide high-quality standards, and be a key team player.

Position Overview:

As a Dental Treatment Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to guide and support patients throughout their dental treatment journey. You will serve as the main point of contact for patients, providing information about treatment options, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a seamless experience from consultation to post-treatment care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Consultation: Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to understand their dental concerns, needs, and goals. Explain treatment options, including procedures, timelines, potential risks, and costs, ensuring patients are well-informed to make informed decisions.

2. Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the dentist and other dental team members to develop personalized treatment plans for patients, based on their oral health condition and desired outcomes. Present treatment plans to patients and addresses any questions or concerns.

3. Appointment Coordination: Schedule and coordinate appointments for each stage of the treatment plan, taking into consideration the availability of the dental team and the patient's schedule. Ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled and communicated effectively.

4. Financial Discussions: Provide clear and transparent explanations of the financial aspects of treatment, including cost estimates, insurance coverage, payment options, and any applicable financing plans. Assist patients in understanding their financial responsibilities and help them make suitable arrangements.

5. Communication and Education: Maintain regular communication with patients, keeping them informed about upcoming appointments, treatment progress, and any changes in the treatment plan. Educate patients about oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to ensure optimal oral health.

6. Patient Support: Provide empathetic and compassionate support for patients throughout their treatment journey, addressing their concerns, fears, and anxieties. Serve as a resource for patients, answering questions and providing guidance to enhance their overall experience.

7. Documentation and Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and financial details in the practice management software. Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies in handling patient records.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Previous experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator or in a similar role is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, treatments, and terminology.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and convey information clearly.

- Demonstrated ability to explain treatment plans and financial aspects to ensure patient understanding.

- Organizational skills to handle multiple appointments, coordinate schedules, and maintain accurate records.

- Empathy and compassion to support patients throughout their treatment journey.

- Proficiency in dental practice management software and basic computer skills.

- Knowledge of insurance processes and dental billing is advantageous.

- Commitment to adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.
