The role requires:

  • Professional leadership and management of the nursery to deliver high standards of care and education to all children

  • Identify training needs and develop training plans for your team, with the support of Head Office.
  • Recruiting, inducting, supporting and conducting appraisals and one to one meetings with your team to lead them to success
  • Promotion of partnership working including parents and external agencies
  • Budget management including running costs of the nursery
  • Facilitation of inspections by regulatory bodies and implementation of recommendations.

Essentials

  • Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Safer Recruitment Training
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience of working in a Nursery/Preschool setting within a senior role
  • Excellent knowledge of the current Early Years Inspection Framework
  • Thorough working knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare requirements
  • Strong understanding of health and safety and practical hygiene issues
