Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The Hotel Receptionist will manage front desk operations, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and handle guest inquiries efficiently. A strong emphasis on hospitality and communication skills is essential for this role.

Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous manner.
  • Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring all materials are up to date.
  • Process reservations and cancellations using the hotel management system.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and payments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide information about local attractions, services, and amenities to enhance the guest experience.
  • Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when answering calls or directing inquiries.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for guests.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse clientele.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are required for effective interaction with guests and team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
