**FULL TIME - OFFICE BASED ROLE ONLY**

About the Role:

This role presents an exciting and unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Project Consultant to join a fresh, established and fast growing company. You will join the Sales Team within the company and be required to maintain a high level of consultancy in respect to our services with your own client contacts and portfolio of projects. In addition you will be required to work closely with the Operations Department, Finance Department, and Research Teams and act as the liaison between your clients and these departments, therefore communication skills are key. You will need to be able to multitask and have a flexible approach to working, as the day in the life of a Project Consultant can be very reactive. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to working, and be solution driven.

The role would be suited to person who enjoys maintaining and building on solid relationships with existing clients as well as spending time educating and on-boarding new clients.

About 1st Line Defence:

1st Line Defence is one of the leading unexploded ordnance (UXO) risk mitigation companies in UK.

We are dedicated to delivering solutions to deal with aerial-delivered unexploded bombs (UXBs) from both WWI and WWII, as well as UXO related to historical land use by the military. Our services range from early-stage desktop risk assessments through to UXO support to construction projects, site investigation and offshore works. With headquarters in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, we operate across the UK and undertake projects overseas.

Main Tasks and Skills of the Role:

  • Dealing with new incoming project enquiries, understanding the client’s requirements and offering a high level of consultancy to suit their needs.
  • Identifying the client’s needs and matching them with the appropriate services the company offer to suit the client’s project.
  • Recording and maintaining project information within the CRM system and ensure it is up to date at all times.
  • Generation of client quotations for a variety of services using a bespoke CRM system.
  • Carryout follow ups calls post quotation within appropriate timescales as outlined in department processes.
  • Build rapport with key decision makers and develop and maintain long term working relationships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for portfolio of projects from enquiry stage to post sale commercial completion.
  • Managing the client’s expectations and navigating the client from enquiry stage, through quotation, agreement and sale, and finally to completion.
  • Carry out contract reviews and negotiations from issue to completion.
  • Maintain awareness of department revenue targets and ensure contribution to achieving revenue goals.
  • Attend department meetings and contribute to department objectives and opportunity for improvement.
  • Arranging client meetings and conference calls for senior technical team members to attend (with opportunity to attend as the role progresses)
  • Undertake continual training for consultancy and technical industry knowledge.
  • Conduct all duties in compliance with the company values and standards at all times.
  • Strong use of initiative with a problem solving and proactive approach.
