PIP Assessor Selection Panel Lead

We are looking for…

Experienced PIP professionals who can sit on a hiring panel and support clear, fair and evidence-based recruitment decisions for PIP Assessor roles. You will bring strong clinical assessment knowledge, confidence in evaluating candidate suitability and the ability to make balanced decisions that support high-quality service delivery.

Duties will include:

· Sitting as part of a recruitment panel for PIP Assessor vacancies.

· Reviewing candidate responses and making informed hiring recommendations.

· Carrying out clinical assessments as part of the selection process.

· Marking clinical assessments accurately and consistently against agreed criteria.

Your role will be to use your PIP assessment expertise to help identify candidates with the right clinical judgement, communication skills and decision-making ability to succeed as PIP Assessors. You will contribute to panel discussions, apply consistent scoring methods and support fair, robust recruitment outcomes.

This role will be remote working only, working Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, with panel activity delivered through telephone, video and digital channels as required.

Qualifications & Essential Criteria

You will be a confident communicator with strong PIP assessment experience and the ability to make objective, evidence-based recruitment decisions. Essential requirements include:

  • Current professional clinical registration, such as NMC, HCPC or GMC.
  • Previous experience working within PIP assessment is essential.
  • Ability to carry out clinical assessments and evaluate candidate performance against agreed standards.
  • Ability to mark clinical assessments accurately, consistently and objectively.
  • Confident decision maker with the ability to contribute to fair and evidence-based hiring outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of clinical reasoning, functional assessment and report quality within a PIP context.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a panel while exercising independent professional judgement.
  • Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office, video platforms and digital assessment tools.
  • Interviewing or recruitment panel experience is desirable but not essential.
