Full job description

We’re looking for leaders at Starbucks. Join us for coffee, stay for the community, connections and opportunities.

At Starbucks, by The Magic Bean Company, your voice matters and your passion for customer service is brewed into everything we do. We’ve been operating Starbucks stores across the UK for nearly 10 years, and we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a supervisor.

Find your place at Starbucks where you’ll take the lead of the shift, working with your team of baristas to create our Starbucks Experience for our customers with high quality service and beverages. You’ll be solving problems in the moment, so any experience you have in leading operational activities in a retail or hospitality environment would be beneficial, as you’ll be responsible, alongside the store management team, for achieving goals and results whilst delivering best moments and operational excellence.

The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working in one of our dynamic stores, a typical day could include:

· Collaborating with the Store Manager, leading great shifts, supporting partners and delivering the Starbucks Experience for our team and customers

· Inspiring and motivating the store team to make every moment right for our partners and customers, including pre-empting and adapting to any potential issues and addressing any that arise to optimise the customer experience

· Providing quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers in line with our recipe and presentation standards

· Delivering legendary customer service to all customers with a customer comes first attitude and creating genuine connections

· Maintaining a clean and organised workspace for your customers and partners

· Executing store operations during scheduled shifts, including organising opening and closing duties.

· Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for till usage and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.

All our store employees (we call them partners, as everyone is important and valued) begin their careers with an introductory in-store training programme led by our amazing in store trainers, designed to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success.

In return, you’ll receive access to our exclusive Rewarding Magic Partners benefits that include:

· Store bonus schemes

· Free beverages and 75% off food when you’re on shift

· 30% discount on all food, beverages and merchandise at all other times

· Comprehensive training and access to Starbucks Global Academy (our online learning platform to help continuously develop yourself)

· Discounts with local and national retailers (grocery shopping, gym memberships, entertainment tickets, hotels, etc.) through Perks at Work platform

· Recognition schemes for Partner of the Month

· Long service rewards

· Opportunity to grow your coffee knowledge and earn the coveted Coffee Master black apron

· Refer a friend scheme

· Great long-term career opportunities

· …and much more!

Given the nature of our stores, our working hours could include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Starbucks is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. So, if you’re looking for a new opportunity, with us you’ll be welcomed, you’ll be challenged, you’ll be inspired. Here you’ll be heard. Because here, you’re a part of it all. Here you belong.
