Full job description

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care in the theatre setting

- Assist with surgical procedures and ensure a safe and sterile environment

- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments

- Monitor patients during surgery

- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

- Follow infection prevention control protocols to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections

- Document patient information accurately and maintain patient confidentiality

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner in Ophthalmology is essential

- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles

- Ability to analyze situations and make critical decisions quickly and effectively

- Proficiency in infection prevention control measures and maintaining a sterile environment

- Basic life support certification is required

Bank position with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. In addition to your hourly rate you will receive a holiday pay supplement of 12.07%.
