Full job description

Dispensing Optician FBDO

Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, HG5 8AL

£30k salary

Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists are looking for an experienced qualified FBDO Dispensing Optician to join our fabulous Knaresborough Practice (HG5 8AL). This is a full time, permanent role for 5 days / 40 hours per week (Monday to Saturday 9am – 5:30pm).

When you join Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists as our qualified FBDO Dispensing Optician, you are joining an independent business. Although we are national, we are not a huge chain which means we understand the importance of local relationships and the power of choice. We aim to deliver obsessively great service to each and every one of our clients via our Welcome, Discover, Delight client journey which is at the core of what we do. We provide all clients with a 45-minute eye exam which gives us time to really understand their clients’ needs and lifestyles and then recommend solutions that fit best to that lifestyle. If you are looking for a role that gives you more time to spend with your clients, then please come and join us. We have the latest diagnostic equipment, the latest technological advances in contact lenses, spectacle lenses and frames, and the latest fashions.

It’s not all about dispensing, fitting and adjusting spectacles or even teaching clients how to use contact lenses, it’s about you delivering obsessively great service every step of the client journey and putting your clients at the forefront of their time in the practice.

Key Requirements for this role:

  • Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
  • You will hold the FBDO qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in a dispensing optician role.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

At Bayfields, we’re committed to transforming lives through expert optical and audiology care. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional service and being part of a close-knit team, we would love to hear from you.
