Optical experience is essential for this role and further training will be provided to help candidates get up to speed with frames and lenses.

The Role Involves:

Dispensing & Technical

• One-to-one dispensing, measuring, fitting, and adjustments
• Advising patients on frames, lenses, and tailored solutions
• Glasses collections and aftercare

Sales

• Confidently selling glasses and lenses
• Patient follow-ups
• Liaising with suppliers and reps

Reception & Administration

• Booking appointments and handling phone enquiries
• NHS paperwork
• Invoice reconciliation
• Stock management
• Maintaining an organised, welcoming practice environment

Being organised, flexible, and customer-focused is essential, as no two days are the same.

Hours & Pay

• 3 days per week, plus overtime during busy periods
• Total hours: approx. 26-30 hours
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: from £13.00 per hour depending on optical experience
• Work remotely: No
• Must be able to drive as may also be needed at our sister practice in Southend.
