Full job description

Job Overview

A long-term opportunity is offered for a Specialist Orthodontist / experienced DWSI to join an established and independently owned group of specialist orthodontic practices serving the Surrey commuter belt. We receive referrals from an extensive network of general dental practitioners and provide NHS and private orthodontic care to patients throughout Surrey and the surrounding areas. Our practices combine experienced clinical teams with modern specialist facilities, digital workflows and comprehensive orthodontic therapist support. We routinely engage in significant multidisciplinary treatment with other specialist colleagues both within the group and via referral.

The position provides three regular clinical days each week across our practices. It offers a substantial established NHS caseload alongside equally substantial opportunities to develop a private patient list.

We are seeking an orthodontist who wishes to become an important and enduring member of our group, rather than simply add an isolated clinical session to an existing portfolio. As an independently owned group, clinical decisions are made locally and access to the practice owner and senior clinical team is direct. We are continuing to develop our services and are looking for the right colleague to contribute to the next stage of that development.

The successful candidate will enjoy:

  • A substantial and established NHS commitment.
  • Additional private orthodontic opportunities subject to progress.
  • Comprehensive orthodontic therapist support.
  • Experienced orthodontic nursing and administrative teams.
  • Modern specialist facilities and digital clinical workflows.
  • A structured induction and carefully managed transfer of patients.
  • Clinical mentoring and support where required.
  • Access to experienced specialist colleagues.
  • Opportunities to contribute to clinical governance and the continuing development of the group.
  • A stable, long-term position within an independent specialist organisation.

We would be pleased to hear from both experienced Specialist Orthodontists and DWSI’s as well as those with less experience who would value structured support and mentoring while establishing themselves in specialist practice.

Applicants should:

  • Be registered with the General Dental Council and included on the GDC Specialist List in Orthodontics.
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, an NHS performer number.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality, ethical and evidence-based patient care.
  • Work effectively with orthodontic therapists and the wider clinical team.
  • Communicate well with patients, parents, colleagues and referring practitioners.
  • Be interested in making a meaningful, long-term contribution to the group.
  • Be comfortable providing care across all three Surrey locations.

We particularly value clinical judgement, reliability, empathy and a collaborative approach.

A competitive remuneration package will be agreed, reflecting the considerable level of orthodontic therapist, nursing and administrative support provided by the group. Full details of the UOA arrangement, private remuneration and laboratory-cost sharing will be provided openly to interested candidates before formal interview.

Formal applications should include a current CV and a brief covering letter explaining your present circumstances, preferred working pattern and interest in the position.

All enquiries will be treated in confidence.

Pay: £100,000.00-£250,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Free parking
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
