Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Battles and we are looking for an production operative to join our busy Filling department.

Battles started in 1832 and is an award-winning manufacturer and leading provider of all the major animal health, equestrian and pet care brands worldwide. 193 years later, we are still going from strength-to-strength and continuing to carve our name as the first-choice equestrian wholesaler.

Hours are 08:00am - 16:30pm Monday to Friday.

For this position we would ideally want someone who has previous experience with production machinery although this is not essential as full training is provided.

Job Description:

  • Perform assembly, packaging, or manufacturing tasks according to operational standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work space in line with health and safety regulations
  • Ensure the correct use of PPE.
  • Fill finished products in to packaging.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the departments and equipment.
  • Complete relevant documentation and maintain accurate production records.

Person Specification:

  • You will need to be fluent in the English language to ensure products are manufactured safely and correctly.
  • Previous experience working in a production environment would be advantageous
  • You will be conscientious and excellent attention to detail.
  • You will act professional when dealing with suppliers and colleagues
  • You like a challenge and enjoy problem solving.
  • You use your initiative and work well on your own and within a team.
  • Basic Math skills.
  • Health and Safety conscious.
  • Some heavy lifting maybe required.
