V3 Facilities Management is a facilities management company which is expanding as our customers keep recommending us! So we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Painter & Decorator to join our team.

Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 pa + travel allowance + enhanced overtime rates

Benefits: Company Van + Pension scheme + Uniform

Location: South Wales & The West

Painter & Decorator Role will involve:-

  • all aspects of responsive & planned decoration works;
  • applying primers, undercoats, varnishes & other finishes;
  • preparing surfaces for decorating using filling products;
  • applying wallpaper & other specialist finishes;
  • carry out tape & jointing applications;
  • calculating material quantities for projects;
  • minor plumbing, carpentry and tiling repairs where required;
  • performance of inspections to identify & replace worn parts / defects;
  • assessing & documenting the problem & summary of actions taken;
  • carrying out all working activities in accordance with company health & safety systems & HSE legislation.

Skills & experience needed :-

  • NVQ level 3 in Painting & Decorating is essential with at least 3 years post qualification experience;
  • CSCS Skilled blue card or higher;
  • experience in dry lining, minor carpentry, plumbing & tiling repairs (an advantage);
  • experience in reactive maintenance and planned works projects;
  • experience using field maintenance software (an advantage);
  • full clean UK driving licence (essential)

Our Successful Painter & Decorator will:-

  • be punctual & reliable;
  • keen to deliver a first class service to our customers;
  • available & willing to work flexible hours including weekends or nights when required (including emergency on-call service in turn);
  • be willing to and work across all areas within the UK.
  • help us to achieve a high level of first-time fix carrying out quality repairs;
  • be able to follow written and verbal instructions;
  • be able to complete an enhanced DBS check.
