Looking for a new role in 2026?

We have an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team within a highly reputable firm of Conveyancers in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Paralegal to take ownership of their own caseload, with support and supervision from experienced Fee Earners.

About the Role

This is not a traditional support role. As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for running your own conveyancing files from instruction through to completion, with full guidance, support and oversight from Fee Earners when required.

You’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, efficient service to clients while developing your technical expertise in a supportive and progressive environment.

We are committed to career development, many of our Paralegals have progressed into Fee Earner roles, supported by funded qualifications and dedicated study time.

Key Responsibilities

Manage your own conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion, with full supervision

Act as the main point of contact for clients, estate agents, and third parties

Draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence

Carry out Land Registry searches and submit applications

Request and review property searches from external providers

Handle post-completion matters

Ensure files are progressed efficiently and in line with deadlines

Maintain accurate records using the firm’s case management system

Liaise with Fee Earners for guidance on more complex matters

About You

Previous experience in conveyancing (Assistant or similar role) is essential

A key requirement for this role is demonstrable excellence in customer care, with a strong emphasis on client service and outstanding communication skills as well as previous experience in conveyancing

Confident managing your own workload and progressing files independently

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Solid IT skills, including case management systems and Microsoft Office

Accurate typing and document production skills

A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong client service focus

A team player who is comfortable seeking guidance when needed
