Full job description

We are looking for an outgoing, pleasant person who is smart and reliable to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for coffee, an eye for detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, making Sandwiches and Toasties to order taking orders, cleaning the coffee shop and ensuring that all customers are satisfied with their experience. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude. Training will be given but some experience in a similar environment would be preferable.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks.
  • Greet customers and take orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Preparing Sandwiches and Toasties to order.
  • Operate cash registers and other equipment.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Keep records of customer orders.
  • Clean and restock work areas.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Shanklin PO37 6BB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
  • customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
