Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Altrincham Health and Wellbeing Centre, 33 Market St, Altrincham WA14 1RZ

Hours: Full Time (Temporary)

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Developing and maintaining effective relationships with users of the Reception Service through excellent communication and customer services skills.

· Performing reception duties for the Dermatology Service.

· Providing a friendly and approachable patient reception service, delivering a high level of professionalism and customer service for each patient and the Trust’s clinical teams.

· Checking patients into and out of clinics ensuring accurate data capture and entry of patient personal information and clinical information in relation to clinic appointments including information on clinic outcome forms.

· Ensuring that the appointment check-in process in undertaken in line with Trust procedures.

· Ensuring data entry onto Trust systems is consistent with workflows and follow standard operating procedures and that clinics are cashed up/closed on Patient Centre with full data entry including management of DNAs within 24 hours or at the end of clinic.

· Undertaking booking and scheduling of appointments via Trust systems.

· Working closely with the team in relation to short notice clinic cancellations acting as a liaison point with clinic areas and be involved in contacting patients to advise of last-minute changes.

· Using Trust systems including waiting list and patient tracking list information to

· Handling enquiries from patients and staff in relation to appointment booking and scheduling within the reception areas and provide non-clinical advice in relation to administrative arrangements.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Good level of numeracy and literacy.

· Able to communicate in both verbal and written format

· Good keyboard and PC skills.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Previous receptionist experience
