Support Worker | Headway Cardiff & South East Wales
Hours: 15 hours per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
Pay Scale: £25,447 - £29,083 per annum, pro-rata (Permanent)
Location: University Hospital Llandough & South Wales community

Critical Requirements

  • DBS: Subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check.
  • Mobility: Regular travel required throughout the South Wales community.
  • Flexibility: Fixed weekly hours plus occasional evenings/weekends for social events.

Core Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Support

  • Set up, run, and clear away daily independence and wellbeing sessions.
  • Provide practical, emotional, and personal care to individuals affected by Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Help service users maintain and develop daily life skills.
  • Assist with refreshment preparation following environmental health guidelines.

Safety, Team & Compliance

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to volunteers.
  • Identify and report safeguarding, health & safety, or maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain absolute data confidentiality and promote equality and diversity standards.
  • Participate in regular training, supervision, and team development.

Pay: £25,447.00-£29,083.00 per year
