Job Title: Bathroom Showroom Sales Assistant/Trade Counter Sales Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Overview:

This is a hybrid role, we’re looking for a creative, customer-focused Bathroom Showroom and Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our Plumbase showroom in Stourbridge.

Whether you’re already working in a bathroom showroom, trade counter or come from retail, kitchen design, interiors, or hospitality with a strong visual sense - this is your opportunity to be part of something ambitious and growing.

You’ll help trade and retail customers design their perfect bathrooms, support them through the entire sales journey, and bring our high-impact showroom displays to life along with assistant both trade and retail customers at the trade counter.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Welcoming trade and retail customers to the bathroom showroom

· Offering expert guidance on bathroom design, layout, and fittings

· Creating 3D bathroom designs using Virtual Worlds or similar CAD software (training provided)

· Quoting and processing customer orders from design through to sale

· Maintaining showroom presentation, cleanliness, and up-to-date displays

· Collaborating with site staff including warehouse and sales team

· Keeping up with bathroom trends, supplier ranges, and product innovations

· Attending occasional supplier and design training events

· Serving trade and cash customers on the counter

· Providing advice, building quotes, and managing trade accounts

· Offering technical product knowledge and solutions

· Keeping the shop floor and stock areas organised and well supplied

· Engage with management on stock selection, displays, and pricing

· Supporting customer deliveries including picking and packing

· Creating strong relationships with regular customers

· Supporting business development efforts by identifying and re-engaging lower-spend accounts

What We’re Looking For

· Experience in a bathroom showroom, kitchen showroom, or interior design retail role

· OR a background in merchant sales, customer service, home improvement, or retail with a design interest

· Excellent communication and listening skills

· A customer-first attitude with strong visual and spatial awareness

· Comfortable learning product knowledge and using design tools

· CAD/Virtual Worlds experience is a bonus but not essential

· Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage workload independently
