Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for health, fitness, and sports. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging PE lessons, promoting active lifestyles, and fostering teamwork among pupils of various ages. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to students' physical development within a supportive educational environment.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver dynamic PE lessons tailored to different age groups and abilities
  • Organise and supervise sports coaching sessions, competitions, and extracurricular activities
  • Assess students’ physical progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
  • Promote safety during all physical activities by ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols
  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among pupils
  • Maintain organised records of student attendance, participation, and performance in PE activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate health and fitness education into the broader curriculum
  • Support the organisation of school sports events and community engagement initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education at school level or equivalent setting
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of sports, fitness techniques, and coaching methods
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse student needs
  • Effective communication skills to motivate students and liaise with parents and colleagues
  • A recognised teaching qualification in physical education or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to promote a positive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence in all pupils
  • A commitment to safeguarding policies and promoting inclusive practices within the school community

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £18.00-£19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Work Location: In person
