Full job description
Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services – and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated.
Hours: 37.5
Salary: £26,689.16
Based at: Gwent
Role Purpose: Unpaid carers play a vital role in supporting not only the individuals they care for, but also the wider community and economy across Wales. Despite their significant contribution, they are often not recognised and receive limited support in their caring responsibilities.
This role is part of a team of staff offering support to unpaid carers across Gwent. The successful candidate will primarily work in one of the five local authorities.
The key aims of the service are that young and adult unpaid carers have the information and advice that will support them in their caring role. Including
· Understanding what their rights and entitlements are.
· Recognising the importance of looking after their own physical and emotional wellbeing
· The opportunity to develop peer support networks.
· Knowing how to access help for someone with care and/or support needs.
Please note a full driver’s license and full access to a car is an essential requirement of this role
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
Adferiad Recovery welcomes applications from everyone with the right to work in the UK, and values diversity in the workplace. All employees are required to act inclusively to encourage, promote, and cultivate our values. (Such as rights affirming and cultural diversity).
Working towards becoming a Rights Affirming organisation, we actively encourage applications from people where the Person Specification calls for a particular qualification or experience, we will consider waiving these requirements if an applicant who could not achieve them because of a disability can demonstrate he/she would be capable of performing well in the job and fulfils the criteria in other respects.

Diben y Rôl: Mae gofalwyr di-dâl yn chwarae rhan hanfodol wrth gefnogi nid yn unig yr unigolion y maent yn gofalu amdanynt, ond hefyd y gymuned a'r economi ehangach ledled Cymru. Er gwaethaf eu cyfraniad sylweddol, yn aml nid ydynt yn cael eu cydnabod ac maent yn derbyn cefnogaeth gyfyngedig yn eu cyfrifoldebau gofalu.
Mae'r rôl hon yn rhan o dîm o staff sy'n cynnig cefnogaeth i ofalwyr di-dâl ledled Gwent. Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn gweithio'n bennaf yn un o'r pum awdurdod lleol.
Nodau allweddol y gwasanaeth yw bod gan ofalwyr di-dâl ifanc ac oedolion y wybodaeth a'r cyngor a fydd yn eu cefnogi yn eu rôl ofalu. Gan gynnwys
