Female Personal Assistant: One 2 One Support
Location: Accrington (must hold a clean UK driving licence)

Part-Time | Contracted | 16/18 hours per week

This is a rewarding opportunity to support a bright, polite, and delightful man in his 30s. He uses a specialist wheelchair and has a complex physical disability affecting bone strength. With your calm, caring presence, you will help him maintain ease and enjoy daily life.

The role is particularly suited if you enjoy daily outings and interactions, while seeking consistent hours to balance work and family life around childcare routines, with applicants required to be 25 years of age or older due to insurance criteria.

About the Role

We’re seeking a reliable, empathetic, and soft‑spoken person to provide support in a calm, well‑kept property. You’ll need initiative, compassion, a smart professional appearance, and the ability to accompany on varied daily outings.

Driving is central to this role, so confidence and a genuine love of being behind the wheel are essential. You’ll be fully insured to drive the wheelchair adapted vehicle.

Select the Schedule That Works Best for You

Option 1: 16 Hours Per Week - Ideal in School/Nursery Hours + Two Sundays per Month

  • Wednesday: 09:00 - 15:00
  • Friday: 09:00 - 15:00
  • Two Sundays per month: 14:00 - 20:00

Option 2: 18 Hours Per Week - Ideal in School/Nursery Hours + Two Sundays per Month

  • Wednesday: 09:00 - 16:30
  • Friday: 09:00 - 16:30
  • Two Sundays per month: 14:00 - 20:00

Flexible scheduling available, including minimal weekend shifts, while ensuring the service user's needs are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote independence and build confidence
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, bathing, and dressing
  • Transport and accompany to medical appointments
  • Carry out light household tasks and errands
  • Accompany on uplifting activities: scenic drives, coffee shops, garden centres, local attractions, seasonal markets, festive displays, and gentle seaside walks
