Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
  • Provide support with medication administration and patient care activities as directed
  • Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and stock levels
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards
  • Answer patient queries regarding medication usage and provide clear instructions when necessary
  • Support inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiry checks
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in handling patient information

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
