Job Description: Pharmacy Dispenser & ACT Training - Beckenham SE London

A great opportunity has arisen for a Dispenser to join a family-run business within a busy community pharmacy based in Beckenham. As a Dispenser, you will be an important member of the team, providing excellent service and helping to create loyal customers who return time and time again.

The Role

In the pharmacy, you will provide patients with advice, dispense prescriptions, organise the dispensary, and offer personalised solutions that help people lead healthier lives.

You will also be trained to support the pharmacist in providing a range of pharmacy services, such as vaccinations, blood pressure checks, contraception services, and minor illness clinics.

You will need confidence, be a team player, self-motivated, and possess good customer skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.

Strong IT skills and the ability to learn quickly are essential. You must have a desire to grow and develop rapidly.

Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate to become an ACT.

The Pharmacy

The pharmacy is a modern establishment with a highly trained team. It successfully delivers a number of services and aims to grow these even further.

These services include BP & ABPM checks, Flu & Covid vaccinations, Pharmacy First, contraception, and, of course, NMS and DMS. The pharmacy also provides a range of private services, including travel vaccinations and private PGDs.

In a typical month, we conduct around 200 service consultations. The pharmacy is very well set up, has a great team of dispensers, counter assistants and a foundation trainee pharmacist as well.

The pharmacy operates Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, and Saturday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. We prefer applicants seeking a full-time position.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a valuable benefits package that includes:

  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • A pension scheme
  • An employee discount scheme
  • Exceptional training opportunities
