Bank Paediatric Physiotherapist
Band 6 or Band 7 equivalent with proven experience in paediatric Neurology and neurodevelopmental conditions
Working hours - part time/ ad hoc (with potential to grow)
Part-time - Monday to Friday (no expectation to do on-call or work on
weekends)
Location - Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, SW5 0TU

Referrals to Children's Physiotherapy includes a range of physical diagnosis and conditions primarily in an outpatient setting. This role will primarily be responsible for the assessment and management of the following:
- Babies aged 0-18 months with concerns regarding their gross motor development like delayed milestones.
- Babies with musculoskeletal conditions such as head turning preference, torticollis or developmental dysplasia of the hip.
- Babies and children with suspected and known neurological, neurodevelopmental and genetic conditions
The referrals may also include conditions like
- Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)
- Hypermobility
- Musculoskeletal issues or injuries
What you'll do:
- Ensure a world class experience to all patients, families, visitors and the MDT
- To keep abreast of the latest evidence within your specialty to maintain best clinical practise.
- Comply with confidentiality policies as set out by Bupa, Cromwell Hospital & HCPC
- Respect a patient's right to be chaperoned and appropriately implement the Hospital chaperone policy
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient treatment records and reports in line with local and national requirements for best management of the patient.
- Manager clinical risk within your caseload at all times and ensure potential clinical risk is effectively communicated and managed.
- To promote dignity, privacy, and safety always, with consideration of the patient's cultural, spiritual, and personal needs and preferences.
- Be aware of the limitations of your own clinical practice/experience and seek support appropriately.
- Be responsible for the ethical, safe, and competent recommendation and provision of therapy equipment within your scope.
- Participate actively in the departmental in-service training programmes and opportunities within the Hospital.
- Share your knowledge, skills, and experience and to work collaboratively with your colleagues
- Drive service development and growth within your field
What you'll bring:
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registration
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Proven experience in neurodevelopment and neurology and/or paediatric MSK and orthopaedics Knowledge of paediatric outcome measures and standardised assessments
- Knowledge of specialist equipment appropriate to paediatric physiotherapy
