Full job description

Build your own 1-to-1 piano teaching at our Milford music school, near Godalming. Demand for piano is growing faster than our current teachers can meet - and once you're on board, we'll promote your new evenings to help fill your diary.

----

What's on offer

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30pm to 8pm at our Milford music school (GU8 5BZ) - take one evening or several
  • Fridays (school day) at a local primary school within 5 miles of Milford - we'll launch it with paid taster sessions and handle the sign-ups with families
  • 1-to-1 lessons for children, teens and adults, beginner to Grade 8

----

Pay

£12.50–£14 per 30-minute lesson (£25–£28/hr). Paid monthly, 5 working days after month end. At our music school, late cancellations and no-shows (under 24 hours' notice) are paid in full.

----

The teaching rooms

  • High-quality digital pianos
  • Audio playback for backing tracks
  • Students self-book into your teaching block, so you're not chasing bookings
  • How you teach is up to you

How it works

  • Once students are booked, you teach them or send a qualified substitute
  • Paid performance opportunities at our Student Showcases and Performance Weeks
  • Keep your wider practice: teach privately, gig and work elsewhere alongside us
  • As we grow, our teachers hear about new students first - including at our Guildford and Haslemere music schools

----

  • have at least a year's teaching experience with children and/or adults
  • value confidence, enjoyment and progress over flawless playing
  • love supporting your students as they take to the stage
