Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse building projects, contributing to the realisation of durable and aesthetically pleasing structures. The successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of construction painting, and the ability to operate a vehicle if required for site travel.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers before plastering
- Mix plaster materials to the correct consistency and apply evenly using trowels and other tools
- Ensure smooth, level finishes on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in accordance with project standards
- Operate vehicles for transporting materials or equipment to various sites as needed
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as painters and decorators to coordinate work schedules
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress or issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within construction or building maintenance
- Valid driving licence is preferred for site travel purposes
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques is advantageous but not essential
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and safety procedures
