Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing and Heating Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing and heating systems. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and heating systems in both residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Work with heating systems to ensure proper installation and functionality.
- Utilise welding techniques for pipe fittings and repairs as required.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Perform assembly of various plumbing components as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing and heating systems to identify issues or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on site to ensure seamless project execution.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
- Lift heavy materials as required for installations or repairs.
Qualifications
- Ipav or ipaf required
- Gas safe not essential but prefered
- Cscs card jib
- Proven experience in plumbing and heating roles is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
- Experience in carpentry is an advantage for related tasks on-site.
- A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting equipment to job sites.
