Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing 2nd fix bathrooms .
This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a range of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will be physically fit, capable of heavy lifting, and possess excellent problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and safe plumbing operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing plumbing infrastructure and determine appropriate solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future problems.
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including heavy lifting procedures and safe handling of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, or maintenance within commercial or residential settings.
- Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications is desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment essential for various tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe fitting, system troubleshooting, and assembly processes.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical diagrams.
- Experience working with heavy lifting equipment or techniques is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving may be preferred depending on project requirements. Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments. All applicants must be prepared to undertake relevant training where necessary to enhance their skills further.
