Are you a skilled plumber looking for a new challenge, job security, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your local community?

Bassetlaw District Council's Housing Repairs Service is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Plumber to join our friendly and dedicated team. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the homes of our tenants across the district ensuring comfort, safety, and peace of mind for hundreds of residents.

The hours of work will be 37 hours per week made up by working 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday. You will also be required to participate in the out of normal hours&© rota to cover Plumbing.

Suitable candidates will possess 3 GCSE's Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include Maths or English. A trade qualification NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or above is required, and Unvented domestic hot water qualification is desirable.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have used a wide range of skills in a building and maintenance environment as well as possessing excellent customer care skills in order to provide a high-quality service to both internal and external customers.

Amongst other qualities, you will also need:

  • The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • To be hard working and conscientious.
  • Flexible in your attitude to hours of work.
