About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Superintendent Prescribing Pharmacist to join our private, independent pharmacy in Rainham, Essex.

This is a low-volume pharmacy with a quiet, relaxed working environment, making it ideal for a pharmacist who values professionalism, accuracy, and patient care without the pressure of high prescription numbers.

You will oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with GPhC regulations and maintaining the highest standards of clinical governance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Superintendent Pharmacist and ensure full compliance with GPhC standards.
  • Manage and oversee the safe and effective running of the pharmacy.
  • Ensure all SOPs and record-keeping are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide friendly, professional support and advice to patients when required.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with local prescribers and healthcare professionals.
  • Support the development of private services (e.g., health checks, travel, or PGDs) if desired.

Requirements

  • GPhC-registered Pharmacist (essential).
  • Previous experience in community pharmacy preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy governance and legal frameworks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work independently.
