Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement activities within our organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating an organisation’s procurement, sourcing and purchasing activities. Roles include Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Director of Procurement, Head of Buying and similar senior positions.

Core Purpose

To ensure the effective acquisition of goods, services and works required by the organisation at the best possible cost, quality and delivery terms, while managing supplier relationships, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full procurement cycle, from needs identification and sourcing strategy through tendering and contract award.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to deliver value for money.
  • Oversee supplier performance, relationship management, and risk mitigation.
  • Implement and enforce procurement policies, standards and governance frameworks.
  • Provide strategic guidance on supply market trends, cost avoidance and savings opportunities.
  • At senior/director level, advise executive leadership on procurement strategy and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£54,000.00 per year
