Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join our UK People team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive HR support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance management, and compliance. You’ll be a trusted advisor to managers and employees alike, helping to foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture. This is a fixed term 12-month maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Advisory

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing sound guidance on policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Support employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, performance issues) in line with UK employment law.
  • Coach and support managers to effectively lead their teams and handle people matters confidently.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support the recruitment cycle and manage offers.
  • Deliver an engaging onboarding experience for new joiners, ensuring smooth integration into the business.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate HR records, contracts, and personnel files in compliance with GDPR and company policies.
  • Administer HR systems, payroll data, and PTO data.

Performance & Development

  • Support annual performance reviews, goal setting, and talent management initiatives.

Culture & Engagement

  • Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the business.

Qualifications
  • CIPD qualified (Level 3 or working towards it) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A team player with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
