Job Summary and About Us

This is the operational lead on an ambitious, grant-funded programme connecting trained candidates to real jobs in Sussex tech companies. You will run two placement cycles, manage a live pipeline of 40 to 50 employers, and own delivery against real targets: up to 45 paid placements and 30 or more sustained roles, with a strong focus on getting more women into entry-level tech.

TechNative is a Sussex-based, mission-led training provider building the region's AI and digital workforce. We are not in the business of certificates for their own sake; we exist to get people into real work and to help local employers grow. This programme is one of our most exciting, and you would be the person who makes it run. We are a small, ambitious team that moves quickly, cares deeply about impact, and backs the people who deliver for them. If you like owning something end to end and seeing it create real jobs, this is a role with genuine purpose behind it.

We are hiring a Programme Manager to be the operational lead on our Tech Talent Programme, a grant-funded programme connecting trained candidates to real jobs in tech companies across Sussex. The programme supports employers to create up to 45 paid placements that convert into sustained junior roles, with a target of 30 or more sustained tech jobs and at least 40% of placements going to women.

What you'll do

  • Manage two full recruitment and placement cycles end to end
  • Coordinate a live pipeline of 40 to 50 employers, tracking each from first contact to signed placement
  • Run hackathon-style assessments against real vacancies
  • Own delivery against contracted targets and keep clean, audit-ready records
  • Be TechNative's lead for employer engagement, building relationships that extend into our wider skills work
  • Manage placements through to sustained job conversion, working with the wider team

Who should apply

  • A proven programme or project manager who can hold multiple partners and deadlines
  • Confident managing employer relationships through to a committed outcome
  • Strong data discipline and comfort owning trackers and reporting against targets
  • Self-directed, delivery-focused and a clear communicator
  • Experience in a publicly funded or grant-reporting environment is strongly desirable

TechNative builds the AI and digital workforce across Sussex. We are committed to inclusive hiring and actively encourage applications from people underrepresented in the technology sector.
