Full job description

We are looking for a Commercial Laundry Operative to join our busy laundry operation. This role focuses on the receipt, sorting, processing, and recording of items received for laundering, ensuring accuracy, quality, and traceability throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating commercial washing machines safely and efficiently
  • Receiving and receipting linen and garments from customers
  • Sub-sorting items by type, customer, and wash process
  • Recording items accurately using manual and/or electronic systems
  • Following hygiene, infection control, and health & safety procedures
  • Identifying and reporting damaged or missing items
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work at a steady pace
  • Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and work to deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a production environment
  • Previous laundry or manufacturing experience desirable (but not essential – full training provided)
