Salary – £38,000

Hours – 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible, agile working policy.

Holiday 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)


About the HR Advisor role

We are TC Group, the fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK. Due to rapid growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our client services HR team in Southampton.


As part of our national team and working in the London and South team, you will be supporting the delivery of our Cross Sell Programme and helping grow our HR presence in the region. Working closely with the HR Business Partner and the HR Assistant, you will be supporting a variety of clients providing wide-ranging HR advice and support via email and telephone mainly. You will also be involved in the onboarding of new clients and the monthly client billing process.


This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience within a fast-paced environment. An interesting role with excellent career progression, no two days are ever the same. As you may be required to travel to client sites at times, a car and driving licence is essential.

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:


  • minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an HR advisory level role
  • experience of working in a HR Consultancy environment would be a distinct advantage
  • Have a well-developed EQ to ensure you are able to adapt to the working styles and successfully manage the requirements of the team and the clients.
  • Lead in assigned small to mid-sized clients, where proactive, legally smart and commercial solutions are delivered. This may include performance, absence, disciplinary, grievances, redundancy, dismissal, and change management processes.
  • Have a well-developed understanding of a service-led environment that supports multiple sectors and cultures.
  • Have strong experience of producing documents or presentations from a brief, whether verbal or in writing.
  • Assistance in complex matters, as directed by the senior members of the team.
  • Have excellent relationship and communication skills.

  • Be achievement focused.
  • Be keen to drive their personal development in a professional services environment.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and respond promptly to our clients.
  • Be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. BreatheHR and IRIS is advantageous.
  • Be technology focused and able to adapt to multiple or new systems (in-house and at client-sites).
